Bob Brandsfield passed away August 6th, 2017 at VA Hospice. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., with a 7 p.m. Vigil Service on Thursday, August 10th, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 1200 Warrior Lane in Waukee. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 11th, also at the church. An 11:00 a.m. graveside service will take place on Monday, August 14th at Iowa Veterans Cemetery.

Bob is survived by his wife Darla of 46 years, 2 children Aaron (Karri) Brandsfield and Nina Brandsfield (Jason Graham), three grand-daughters, Courtney and Kiley Brandsfield and Mykaela Graham, two brothers Bud (Kristi) and Mike (Nancy) Brandsfield and 1 sister Penny (Pete) Rounds, father-in-law Russ Dent and brother-in-law Mike (Paula) Dent, many nieces and nephews, and cousins. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, sister, aunt, nephew, great-nephew and mother-in-law.

Bob earned his accounting degree from Iowa State University and went on to earn his CPA and CFP designations. He ran a successful family business in financial planning, tax and accounting for over 35 years. Bob served in Vietnam in 70-71 with the 101st Airborne Division. He also served on many committees over his years.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Iowa Chapter of Vietnam Veterans or to the VA Hospital.
